Small works on board

"Ultimately, my work is an ongoing exploration of self: defiant, playful, and open to change. I seek to create paintings that invite viewers into imagined spaces, triggering their own creative responses and encouraging a slower, more embodied engagement with my work." The Artist.

the hard edge series

Anna Liber Lewis’s painting practice is fundamentally built on interaction between form and gesture. She describes her paintings as being organised around a self-reinforcing visual system, where formal parameters—shape, colour, line—both constrain and generate the work. In the case of her more hard-edge abstraction pieces, this system is sharpened: shapes are allowed to meet or resist one another in ways that test edges, boundaries, tensions. Colour isn’t just filling form; it becomes a force in its own right, creating vibration between shapes.
